What is a dual education or PIA education, which prerequisites must be fulfilled ? Where can I find information? How can i apply?

All these questions and many more were answered on Friday, January 25th in our workshop “Training Culture in Germany”. This workshop was part of the AEF project “My New Life in Germany – New Home Bonn / Rhein – Sieg”.

The AEF project “My New Life in Germany – New Home Bonn / Rhein-Sieg” enables locals and immigrants to become active as qualified and networked actors so that their region becomes the new home for all. In order to help immigrants and refugees to participate in society and to become more independent, the AEF offers advice and educational measures in order to record their future prospects.

During the exchange, the participants from different backgrounds and initial situations were able to decide, among other things, which training courses would be suitable for them and which training courses in Germany would be more in demand, etc.

However, some of the participants have already completed an apprenticeship in their home country, for which it was of course relevant to know whether it is possible to have this training recognized here in Germany and how this process runs.

In its offices in Bonn and Troisdorf, the AEF – Spanische Weiterbildungsakademie e.V. offers cuonsultation for immigrants who need orientation in everyday life and also for people who would like to volunteer. This start-up and advice center informs personally on site, by telephone and by e-mail and organizes the required measures for the target group. Both, refugees and immigrants as well as volunteers can participate in the educational events, workshops, day seminars and excursions in the Bonn and Troisdorf area.
