As part of the project “My new life in Germany – New home Bonn / Rhein-Sieg” an excursion took place on January 22nd of 2019 to the House of History in Bonn.

Exkursion Haus der Geschichte – Bonn

A total of 15 people from nine different countries took part, among them immigrants, integration students but also some who have been living in Germany for some time.

The House of the History of the Federal Republic of Germany presents an impressive permanent exhibition the history of both German states from 1945 to the present day.

Everyone listened carefully and asked many questions. For example, the Federal Chancellor’s railway salon car, parts of the Berlin Wall or the first green card for a foreign IT specialist were of interest to the attendees.

There were many objects to see that brought history to life. It was impressive to see a real refugee boat with lifejackets with their own eyes.

This trip was part of our project “My new life in Germany – New home Bonn / Rhein-Sieg”. If you are interested in participating, you are welcome to contact us. We are happy to inform you!
